Freeze Computer (Windows/Linux) Instantly!

Want to freeze a Windows or Linux computer instantly? Just type in the following lines in notepad and save the file as anything.bat. Then wait for him/her to open it, or open it yourself!

NOTE: Although there is no real use of these things except to freeze your own system, they should be used carefully. You may lose any important unsaved data!!!! Except that, and frustration, they don't cause any other harm... ;)

An infinite number of command prompt screens will show up and the PC will hang!!!

To speed it up, type the following lines and save it as anything_else.bat.

bash anything_else.bat
goto1

You can use any of the above programs to hang Windows. You literally won't be able to do anything else and would need to restart in order to be able to work again.

In Linux terminal, just type the following command and hit enter. It will freeze your linux machine.

:(){ :|:& };:

These programs are called "FORK BOMBS". Just like a normal bomb, they "Explode" once they start running. This means, that they keep on creating their own instances till all the memory gets used up.

Note: Just THINK TWICE before executing these commands! After you type them, it is almost impossible to revert back and get back the unsaved files/settings. The tutorial is just to tell you how easy it could be to fool a machine and make it run in circles till it gets tired. xD
